CHARDON LAWYERS NAMED AS OHIO SUPER LAWYER RISING STARS

cHARDON, oh, July 9, 2007: Petersen and Ibold announced today that two of its attorneys have received recognition as 2007 Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Stars in the annual survey produced by legal publisher Law & Politics. Our rising stars include lawyers, C. Lynne Day and Susan E. Petersen. Our Rising Stars will appear in the July issue of Ohio Super Lawyers - Rising Stars Edition as well as in Cincinnati Magazine and Northern Ohio Live.

Only 2.5 percent of Ohio attorneys are named Ohio Super Lawyers - Rising Stars. All Ohio Rising Stars are 40 years of age or younger, or have been in practice for 10 years or less. Ohio Super Lawyers - Rising Stars, representing more than 60 practice areas, is published annually in Cincinnati Magazine and Northern Ohio Live.

The top up-and-coming lawyers in Ohio are chosen by Ohio Super Lawyers through the independent research of Law & Politics. No other legal publisher uses a multi-step process to identify qualified candidates that incorporates peer recognition and professional achievement. Law & Politics uses a system of balloting, peer evaluation, and internal research that acts as a system of checks and balances that produces a diverse and comprehensive listing of outstanding lawyers.

· Named a "Rising Star" for the third year in a row, Lynne Day's practice focuses on domestic relations, collections, and general litigation. She received her B.A. Degree, cum laude, from Wittenberg University in 1990 and her J.D. Degree from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1993. Ms. Day joined Petersen & Ibold in 1993.

Ms. Day is a member of the Geauga County and Ohio State Bar Associations. She has served as President of the Geauga County Bar Association, Geauga County Bar Foundation and The Geauga County Law Library Association. Ms. Day is a Commissioner on the Board of The Unauthorized Practice of Law of The Supreme Court of Ohio. She is also a member of the Center for Principled Family Advocacy.

· Susan E. Petersen assists injury victims in the areas of wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, nursing home negligence, and employment discrimination. Over the years, she has handled cases resulting in substantial compensation awards for injured clients all over Ohio, including Geauga County, Greater Cleveland, and her hometown of Youngstown. She was recently sworn in as President of the Ohio Women's Bar Association and was named as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, recognized as the most prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States.

Petersen & Ibold was formed by the merger of the law practices of Jerry Petersen and Dennis J. Ibold, in 1980. Since then they have built Petersen & Ibold into one of the largest law firms in Geauga County. In addition, they have added a second office in Ashtabula County to better serve the needs of their growing client base. Petersen & Ibold has established itself as one of Geauga County's leading law firms by providing outstanding legal advice, representation, and advocacy across a wide range of legal specialties including family law, personal injury, real estate & zoning, criminal defense, wills, probate, estate planning, and elder law, business and corporate, employee representation, worker's compensation, bankruptcy, and school law.

We represent individuals, businesses, and government bodies in a broad range of areas. The firm's practice is based in Geauga County, but its lawyers regularly practice in Cuyahoga, Summit, Ashtabula, Stark, Trumbull and Mahoning counties, as well as in other courts around the State and Federal Court, Appellate Courts, the Ohio Supreme Court, and before state and federal agencies. More than just attorneys, our lawyers are committed to helping build a strong community. Members of our firm are former office holders and serve on the Board of Directors of hospitals and banks. In addition, they actively sponsor a variety of community events and community organizations. Petersen & Ibold is proud to have been awarded an AV-rating under Martindale Hubbell's Peer Review RatingTM process, which is the highest possible peer evaluation rating for competency and ethics. This rating was awarded based upon confidential peer evaluations.
